You lot lost the "We care for the blue" card with that stunt.
No I haven't. None of my political fellows were at that protest/riot/insurrection.
I neither support Trump, nor Biden, nor Antifa, nor the Proud Boys*. I conceded that the election was in the bag for the Dems once the votes were tallied. They worked the system better this time.
* I do still 'rah rah' the Proud Boys when they do what they initially claimed they were about, "fighting Antifa" and showing up to protect businesses and homes from rioters. But the more they turn from that particular 'cause' the less I'm likely to say nice things about them (but honestly, when is the last time I said anything nice about the PBs? Sometime in mid-2020? When the Boogaloo Boys starting breaking off and getting uppity? Yeah, feels like around then when the PBs starting showing up to instigate rather than "stand and protect").
Because despite what I've said and what my actual actions have been, you're too dense to pay attention.
I'm fighting
you and your insane notions. I'm trying to show where your arguments are weak, deluded, and hyperbolic so you can learn to make good ones. So you can learn to discern when the Dems/Left-Wing Media are lying to you (most of the time), and how to go about searching for the truth.
I'm doing this only because this form of interactive media allows for this level of long-standing discourse. If this were twitter I'd ignore you completely.
Like many a bad artist, I do default to blaming the canvas, this is true.
But you have to consider the state of the canvas and cut me some slack.
No I'm not. I'm defending the people who were at the protest and didn't riot/insurrect. I'm pointing out where the media and the feds are bending facts to support a stronger "all Trump supporters are insurrectionists" narrative. I'm pointing out where you read news and walk away from from it with the wrong information in your head, either through laziness or willful malice.
Only because you cannot hold a larger picture in your head other "with me or against me completely". I have never said "line them up, all rioters must die, etc".
And I know this will shock you to your core, but I know ex-diehard MAGAs who are saying "line them up and shoot them all starting with Trump". Because like you, they're too stupid to see pictures larger than "everyone is either with me or completely wrong and against everything I stand for".
No one is shocked by your behavior. You've been acting this way for over five years. No, we're (i'm not speaking for 3cat, here) just fighting to try to hammer some nuance and critical thinking into you an knock the hypocrisy from your methods.
I'm not Republican, Democrat, Libertarian, etc. I belong to no political parties, I carry none of their water.
This is what I'm talking about, you can't even conceive that someone is neither part of your "ingroup" nor your "enemies". You just can't conceptualize not following someone's drumming.
Again, this is exactly what we're talking about. Your rank hypocrisy. When the Dems say were to say "Stand down antifa" "you have to fight them in the streets" you believe them when they say "oops we didn't mean by rioting, burning, raping, murdering, assaulting, etc" but when your political boogeyman says "stand down" you think that means "okay, goooooooooooo!"
Nope. That literally doesn't say anything about how 2000 officers were injured in riots between May 25 and July 31. In fact, I'll bet you just googled for a fact check and didn't even read what it beyond the headline that confirmed your bias, would you like for me to rub your nose in what it says?
That 'fact check" is responding to a specific Facebook post that was doing exactly what you do, hear a number, twist it to mean something else, inflate it for emotional effect, and report it out of context. The Facebook post attributing officer
deaths directly to the BLM organization was in fact wrong.
However, despite the 'fact check' being correct about the Facebook post, it is not the 'gotcha' you want it to be. Here I'll show you:
Officers injured: The New York Post reported on June 8†, citing the U.S. Justice Department, that more than 700 law enforcement officers were injured on the job during nationwide protests over Floyd’s death.
People killed: In early June, news accounts reported the number of people killed during the Floyd protests at roughly a dozen, or as many as 19. The victims include a 77-year-old man who was a retired St. Louis police captain and a 22-year-old woman from Davenport, Iowa."See, this what I keep talking about with you, just grabbing a headline that vaguely "supports" your arguments isn't an argument. Especially if you don;t read the article and understand how what it is saying isn't what you want it to be saying.
† Emphasis mine. If you can't figure out why I emphasized that, ask, I'll be happy to inform.
Clearly you do, otherwise why would you defend BLM and Antifa when they are the organizations routinely turning protests into riots?
Then why do you still defend BLM?
I don't. I do support people's rights to protest and I explicitly fight the hypocrisy that wants to lump protesters in with insurrectionists just because they were within physical proximity of each other.
However, if Trump rally/protests
continue turning into riots‡ in the future, expect I'll begin treating them as I do BLM 'protests" now.
‡ And no, one event is not a trend no matter how you want to conflate it or embiggen it by claiming "everyone showed up with malicious intent".
