Say if it lasts the currently (doomsayer) prediction of 18 months*, at some point they might switch† to 85% work from home (basically anyone proficient enough to no longer require management oversight or assistance). However, I'm not sure how well that would fly with our clients who demand pretty decent security from us (not that we have it, but they do demand it). Security that cannot be guaranteed in a 'work from home' environment. * Before enough people have been slowly inoculated via either surviving it or being vaccinated and enough herd immunity punts it back down to "not a worry". † If enough people continue to call out with "an overabundance of caution" or are simply sick that it makes doing business normally more costly than adopting to a new setup. |

How much weekly overtime have you had so far? None. In fact I've been down hours the last two months due to seasonal slow down (peak is just before the holidays, Thanksgiving and then Christmas, then it slumps till about March, then returns to steady), averaging roughly 34 hours a week (sometimes 30 sometimes my scheduled 38). However next week I'm at 10 hours OT on the schedule as of now. That might increase, I'll see if any more has come available as the week progresses... though seeing as how I'm at 10 hours OT priority will be given to those with less hours. So it may be a "Hey, you still want to stay late a few extra hours today" on a day by day basis. In fact we've been 'pre-approved' to exceed normal OT maximums to reach ensure 'production hours' are achieved (normally no one is allowed more than 10 hours of OT without the Big Boss personally signing off on it, he signed off in advance for the duration for a few of us). But then as I mentioned, roughly 1/3 of our floor agents were out last week (we were 600 something hours behind required fulfillment). |
