Both games seem to be extremely popular on YouTube at the moment.
Fall Guys looks like a fun game as long as the lag isn't too bad. Somewhat lighthearted trolling opportunities. System requirements to play are higher than I would have expected.
Among Us is an intriguing social strategy game but (like the board game Diplomacy) could place a strain on friendships with those who struggle separating gameplay behavior from real life. I've had friends who have refused to play such games for fear of real-life social consequences. On a plus side, almost any computer (including evileeyore's and my own system) can run this game.
So is anyone playing either game? If so, what are your experiences?

Among Us is Werewolf The Videogame... as such it's so my jam I'd have it on toast. If I wasn't so damned busy right now. Almost makes me want to quit political meddling just so I'll have time to play it.

Among Us features text chat, but it would be awesome if it could also allow the option of voice chat with partitioned channels for living and dead players during meetings. This would also help players from accidentally leaking information in a moment of pique. If the host wanted to not use chat/voice chat, they could disable them prior to game start. You could also have an option for voice outside of meetings but the volume determined by relative distance from the speaker.
These options would not keep players from using 3rd party voice chat to cheat, but it at least is a start.

Wow, now that is an impressive statement! It is. Everything I see about this game makes me itch to play it. Unfortunately, my potatoe won't run it unless I get it on Steam, if it's a full PC release on Steam and not an Android EMU, the potatoe can't handle running an EMU and a game at the same time, and I'm not interest in trying to play it on my phone. As it stands... Steam† and cutting back on helping start/stop political fires in an election year with an empty SC seat and a fresh new "non-party"*? Man... * Unity 2020, give up the Duopoly, embrace personal moral choice and a fresh start. † 99% deal breaker right there. I hate Steam.

Your machine should be able to run this. Aside from DRM, are there other reasons why you consider Steam an almost automatic deal breaker? Unfortunately, GOG.com does not seem to carry this title (No DRM-free option presently).
PC minimum system requirements listed on Steam[1]: - OS: Windows 7 SP1+
- Processor: SSE2 instruction set support
- Memory: 1 GB RAM
- DirectX: Version 10
- Storage: 250 MB available space
PC minimum system requirements listed by PCGameBenchmark[2]: - OS: Windows 7 SP1+
- CPU: Intel Pentium 4 2.00GHz
- Memory: 1 GB
- Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 510
- File Size: 250 MB
PCGameBenchmark also allows you to manually enter your system specifications (circumventing detection software others require) and evaluate whether it meets or exceeds the game requirements[3].

Your machine should be able to run this. It can. Just, as I suspected, it's got an emulator baked in, even the Steam version is running an emulator. I can tell by the way it runs like shit. My system is old and can't handle running games off of an emulator very well, so even this is laggy as all get out. Yes, I did buy it, after searching for a non-EMU version, only the Steam version looked EMU free, the others all require you to be running it on an Android or with an Android EMU. And I'm not running this off my phone, even if it would run smooth as silk there, tiny fucking screen and I hate touchpads. I hate 'service plans' for games. I want to actually own the game outright and not be dependent on the goodwill of the company to always provide it or even be around. This is the first game I've purchased from Steam and is likely to be the last. Aside from the Steam client, the game has no DRM and there are Steam-less options, but again, native Android or Android EMU required. No GPU. Which is probably another one of those "bumps" in getting it to run smoothly. Anyway, it's exactly what I expected, but I forgot that I prefer playing Werewolf/Mafia with people I know and who aren't Rando McShitstain. This game would be excellent with 8-10 people you know, with a machine that could run it well. It would make a really, really good 'lan-party' game. The devs are talking Among Us 2 'already', the game is two years old, but recently went viral in a big way, so them talking about moving to the sequel 'already' just feels real sudden, but it's probably time. The changes they are talking about require a complete system overhaul.

This game would be excellent with 8-10 people you know, with a machine that could run it well. It would make a really, really good 'lan-party' game. Truth. Multi-player games =/= LAN party games because playing with friends makes for a far better experience in most cases. Sadly, many in my old LAN group have moved on over the course of 25+ years to other things that seem to take up most of their time (spouse, kids, social media [ugh!], newer interests). Multi-player games allow players to play more frequently, but without the "bonding" experience it feels "hollow".
The more popular videos are played in private, with a large group (8-10) of friends. This may actually lead to a drop in popularity since many players will not likely have such a large friend base to draw upon, encountering "Rando McShitstain" more frequently than initially envisioned.

The changes they are talking about require a complete system overhaul. The game isn't perfect (no game is), but I'm glad they finally (2 years after initial release) got the attention I feel they richly deserve. Hopefully, they can maintain a bond with their new supporters and build an even better sequel.
