The #MeToo Movement empowered the victims of domestic/sexual abuse to speak out who were otherwise silent. Unfortunately, it may not been as successful with regard to male victims of domestic abuse or those wrongfully accused of abuse. Because it was only briefly about helping abuse victims and very rapidly turned into a hate engine by the RadFem extremists. |

I hope he donates the money to a charity for male abuse victims. Or a gender neutral one if such exists (which is honestly more his style). |

We could have equality amongst men and women where actual sexual harassment and abuse were dealt with effectively, but it would require both men and women to be held accountable every time they falsely accuse someone. Instead of (over)reacting to allegations, authorities actually need to, ya know, investigate the facts... Exactly (though we need the under-reacting† to cease as well). † Joe Biden, every female teacher who raped her male students and walked away with a slap on the wrist, etc. I'm fine with leaving False Allegations to to the civil courts, too much room for abuse otherwise. The civil courts as they are now are a waste. All you need there is a preponderance of evidence(51% likely or better). If a jury is faced with a 49% likelihood that someone is innocent, they shouldn't be hitting that person with fines that are going to ruin that person's life unless he's rich. Most people will lose their homes, life savings and more over these cases. |

Please allow me to weigh in on the “coddling” of our youth. I don’t think “coddling” is the problem. While too much coddling can be bad, I see it as a contributor to a more serious action. Or non-action. Since the 1960s our culture has continually and increasingly taught our children that actions don’t have consequences. In other words, to put my personal spin on it, our children aren’t being allowed to grow up. (It’s hard to stop being 4 when mommy always kisses it better and replaces the toys you break)

Children and young adults are being protected from the ramifications of their actions. They don;t hear "No", they get what they want, they cruise past problems they've created as Mommy and Daddy clean up their mess. This isn't just a classist thing either, as I've pointed out, it's something more and more that the underclass parents are doing, and then suddenly comes to a screeching halt when the youth faces crises towards the end of high school or in college or (more likely for the lower class) their first job. Suddenly Reality™ doesn't let their parents wipe their ass for them and they don't have the tools to do so themselves. |
