Libertarian? With just a taste of paranoia. [EDIT] Ninjaed by Max. That's what I get for opening these pages and then wandering off to make breakfast. [/EDIT]

What a fucking conclave of fools the DNC is - Iowa's Dem caucus is a dumpster fire on steroids. Such a joy to watch them self-immolate.

So (at least in Iowa's case) the caucus is about the persuasiveness (pressure) among the active voting participants and not about the persuasiveness of the actual candidates?
I'm still trying to understand why these 4 states (IA, NH, NV, SC) are so special as to further influence national primary results.

Nobody understands Iowa's caucus.

It's about what I'd expect from a company run by ex-Clinton staffers hired to do the Dem caucus vote counting - hold off reporting when you don't like the results, then declare victory and slowly trickle out results to match your desired outcome.

Fuck you, South Carolina needs something! Especially now that it's not cool to be the place the Civil War started anymore (was that ever cool?).

That is something. Well, sure, and it's the best BBQ of all of them. But, there's too many KC BBQ fans, or Southwestern BBQ fans, or Memphis BBQ fans, or <shudder> NC unBBQ fans. We need the national prestige of being the first in the South to have a political jerk-off. These things are important, I'm sure, to someone, somewhere.
