The recent past is seen mostly through rose colored glasses to some. It was never that idealistic.

While highly entertaining, this is also disturbing to watch. Trump and the republicans are trying every trick they can short of violence to overturn the election.
Thankfully, there is still enough people in power who believe in democracy and the rule of law to punt these fuckers into the ditch.

They are flailing around in circles like chickens with their heads cut off. Not one thing that they've tried had any real chance of success. "Trying tricks" implies some decent chance of pulling it off.

If we had a few less reputable judges, they'd win it. Thankfully, the judicial branch is tossing their suits as they should. Which is highly surprising, considering that Trump hand-picked alot of them.
On second thought, no it's not surprising. Trump sucks at picking people for anything. so yay! It worked to our advantage!

No, they wouldn't. Even the judges Trump appointed due to being far right all laughed him out of court. There was no chance of this going through.

Trump's only saving grace is his incompetence.

He appointed them because he thought they would do as he said and not follow the constitution. Joke is on him though. I think alot of us were pleasantly surprised by that.

I was completely unsurprised that judges follow the Constitution. They were trained for years to follow it before becoming lawyers. And then it became their jobs to make sure it was followed. People who were surprised don't have a clear idea of what it means to be a judge.

One can only hope that once Trump leaves office, we'll get back to abnormal. Or whatever passes for abnormal in US politics. At least, we can hope his noise pollution will lessen.

One can only hope that once Trump leaves office, we'll get back to abnormal. Ah yes, "normal", or what we call "quietly caging brown kids at the border, escalating conflicts in brown people lands to drive down the price of oil, increasing immigration to depress wages, locking up blacks in record numbers, and selling our country of to China"... all things that were being reversed once we got the Duopoly out of the White House. It'll be a record setting four years I bet. Gotta undo all that progress Trump made, get on the 'Build Back Better' train and surrender our freedoms...

Imagine thinking that Trump wasn't part of the duopoly.
