2019 continues its streak, claimimg its third tire. That's now 3 tires, a washing machine, a dishwasher, a refrigerator, my right medial menisicus (torn halfway around), and a cat.

Fucking Texas heat took out my car battery. It might have also killed my alternator. I got my battery replaced, tomorrow I head back to see if it's also the alternator. Gah.
I'm hoping it's just the battery.

Yeah, the lady who did the battery had me turn on the AC, radio and lights and had me pump the brakes. The lights didn't dim or anything and the car is purring like a contented cat. So that's a good sign. The check battery light is still on, so it might just be the car hasn't recognized there's a new battery in it. I'm gonna go by the place I had the battery put in for them to double check the battery and the alternator tomorrow. Just to be sure.
Fingers and toes are crossed.
I was still darned lucky. The battery completely went kaput as soon as I pulled into the auto zone parking spot and I got it right by the door.
