No. It was staged for effect by the Dems who pulled back the cops and left a skeleton crew of Capitol Security, who were given orders to let them through, so the rest of the DC police and capitol sec forces who were staged 2 blocks away in a parking garage could swarm in and arrest them all once they were illegally inside the Capitol Building and "illegally" on it's grounds.

It was a brilliant coup by the Dem mayor and Dem chief of police to smear the entire Right as "violent rioters and insurgents" after the left spent all year enacting the Summer of Love.

Which, to loop around to the far left, I love how Biden has turned on them so viciously. Fucking labeled Antifa as terrorists and is pushing a terrible 'anti-terror' bill through to go after 'anti-government' domestic organizations. No wonder he's up 8% in his approval ratings with the Republicans.

You damn well didn't "watch it live". You watched what was canned and massaged by the press afterwards. I watched it live. I watched streams, many of which are gone now, thanks Youtube and Twitch, while it was happening. I watched unedited vids posted immediately after (again many of which have been subsequently suppressed) that showed the throngs being respectful of the space they were in. Groups stopping violence, stopping rioters.

Were there hot spots where small nuggets of bad actors got enough together to start "kicking it off"? Yeah, several security/cops were beaten, one very, very badly. Other groups were encouraged to commit vandalism, and in three areas people were trying to break in Senate chambers to get to the congress, and rioters died.

But again you sheep, if the majority, hell, even a sizable minority (like 30%) of the thousand that were there had shown up to commit violence, every congressperson in the building would be dead. No what happened is we had astonishingly small minority of bad actors on the right, and a smaller group of bad actors on the left (Antifa), who tried to exert influence on the tourists, rubberneckers, and 4channers who were there to goof and see what chaos could be gotten up to.

There was no insurrection. There were a lot of "internet tough guys" who'd claimed they'd be going there to "kill all the Democrats" and "string up the traitor Pence", but I'm pretty sure the actual number who showed up were in the single digits, maybe 20 tops. Like you said, a whole 23 people showed up with "various weapons" (you know deadly shit like bear spray, fire extinguishers, and flag poles), of the three people who were arrested with firearms (and are hilariously listed among 'all' the other weapons), 2 weren't even in the group that entered the capitol building and one of them wasn't even there that day, he arrived the next day.

That's how badly you're being lied to. You dream up the image of boogaloo boys in full tactikewl kit storming the building searching for Democrat lawmakers, because that's the image they keep portraying, when the truth is nowhere even close.

And 15 mil in damages? I bet some of that is for 1 mil toilet seats right? Fuck, we know how government operates. It's not a real figure unlike the 2.5 million dollars in damage Antifa did to one businessman in Kenosha and that's not even the total damage done in Kenosha (estimated at 50M$), or even the total done during the Summer of Love, hell it's not even a drop in the bucket of damages done to the fed justice buildings in Portland, which cannot be totaled as the rioters are still rioting and the damages are still ongoing.

People want me to be upset about a group loitering in the "sacred halls of government"? Fuck that, I'll start worrying about our lawmakers when they stop extolling violence in the name of their ideological side.
