Anyone got this yet? I'm waiting a year for all the bugs to be worked out before I get it, but wanted to find out how the gameplay compares to Wasteland 2.

I'm waiting a year for all the bugs to be worked out before I get it, but wanted to find out how the gameplay compares to Wasteland 2. Ditto. I wasn't impressed with W2's gameplay (or false choices). It wasn't a bad game... it just wasn't a "man I need to play this again" game.

So I broke down and got Wasteland 3 - it was on sale.
So far, I like what I see.
I still don't like that you are playing catch-up trying to get enough points in all of the skills. I still find myself having to come back to stuff after I've leveled up and raised skill levels.
But I like that they eliminated/fused some skills and give you attribute points every level. I like that you don't need energy weapons since they are now classified by their function (small arms, automatic weapons, etc.) rather than ammunition type.
The sniper rifles seem a bit underpowered from what they were in Wasteland 2.
But the flamethrower weapons - OMG - taken with the pyromaniac quirk...
