Well. 2020 is over and done. It sucked. Majorly piss worthy sucked. On the bright side, I'm going to the Texas Humane Heroes this weekend and start my search for a new putty tat. The house feels empty without one. So I'm looking forward to that.

Well, I think I found the cat I want, she's a small black cat about a year old that they had just gotten in. I put a hold on her, so hopefully they'll be done with her medical stuff by tomorrow and I can adopt her.

Well, she's currently hiding somewhere. I chased her out from behind the dryer (not a good hiding place), so she's under the bed (much better hiding spot) She's a very sweet little thing though. She's a bit dusty because she likes to hide under the chest of drawers.
She's about six pounds and is mostly black with some white chin markings and chocolate highlights.

She's had her dinner and is now enamored of the window and Sherpa blanket on my bed. She is a little love bug and loves attention. I'm beyond happy.
She met the dog and she even curled up next to him without him being an asshole. He was a very good boi. Which is surprising. Usually, he's a grumpy old man. In this case, he sniffed her butt and allowed her to get near him. Of course, my sister was showering him with attention, so that helped. And Primrose was more chill than a glacier. So first meeting was a hit, as far as those go! Here's a pic of them together. Sorry for the blurred image. The dark splotch is Primrose the new cat. Also known as Rosie, Sweet heart, Princess, Precious..... Lol.

Well it snowed yesterday and it was a real snow-storm, not just the light dusting we normally have here where I live. So me and my sister had a bit of a snowball fight, then hot chocolate. Today, while i wait for IT to call me back and I can get my laptop unlocked (haven't logged in forever and am starting to work from home), I'm sipping tea. I already fed the cat and played with her, so all in all, it's been a fairly good morning so far.
2021 is already looking a shit-ton better than 2020.

Rosie has discovered toys, chase the mouse on the string and dingle balls. Tonight, I am going to introduce her to the mysterious, moving red dot.

She loved the laser pointer. I had her chasing that thing all over the place. She also loves having a litter box all to her own, one she doesn't have to share with other cats. I see her scratching like crazy in it, hiding her 'stuff' so to speak. She's also started to use her scratching pad and explore the house. Yay!

I lost weight over the holidays! About 5 pounds, then five pounds from the last weigh-in at the doctors. So ten pounds total!

Got Primrose back from the vet for her booster shot and after adoption checkup. She's doing fine, didn't meow during the trip down or back and only offered a couple of meows when I loaded and unloaded her from the car. She's a little maniac at home, her personality has exploded all over the place Lol. She loves to play, loves attention when she wants it. So she isn't overly clingy and she loves Temptation treats. All in all, she's a typical young cat.

She's now indulging in morning zoomies, pouncing on my hand at 6am, regardless of whether or not it's a workday or weekend and has totally owned the dog (not a big feat by any means, he's an old dude).
