More or less, I don't take anyone who resorts to calling people names to 'win' an argument or make themselves feel better seriously. You need to stop it. I'm tired of the stickt. It's stupid, tired, old and classless. Not to mention highly annoying.

I call Maxperson a right wing shrill because he is in many ways an opposite side of the coin of you. I mean hell, almost all of Nail Bunny's "links" for proof are from far right wing sites with zero credibility. You can't take a guy seriously when he does that. So I take his and Maxperson's insults with the grain of salt they are.

Only occasionally to "prop up an argument", and again, because it's offering a perspective, with facts, that no one else is is running. Saying "LOL! That's a right winger site! LOL!" is not 'fact-checking'. That's deciding to ignore evidence that doesn't fit your bias because it's coming from an ideological source you've decided can never be right. Despite then being accurate as often as the leftie site you prefer are. Note, you almost never actually do the work to 'fact check' and always stop at checking the bias of the site. I never 'deflect' with insults. If I insult you it's when you're doing the above. Deriding out of hand, ignoring evidence that isn't ideologically pure, literally saying ignorant or ill-thought out things. Only because it gives it the attention it desperately craves. It was almost bac to occasionally making intelligent arguments, you've rewarded it when it was dumb, now it'll be another four years of moronicy. |

It's in the in of the beholder Nail Bunny. I frequently disagree with Ovimancer for example, but he usually doesn't call me names to further his points, he explains himself without resorting to linking to obscure far right wing sites and therefor I actually listen to what he has to say.
More or less, when you resort to name calling to win an argument or just to make yourself feel bigger, you aren't winning. Winning an argument is actually taking the time to explain things and have the other person say yeah... You're right.
We're all guilty of it to greater or lesser degree, but it's become a stickt, both with Kzach and you Nail Bunny. It's stupid and juvenile.
