Hey 3cat, I'm surprised you are silent regarding current events. Why is that?

I’m sure we can all agree that Trumpty’s brownshirts who are storming the Capitol should all be shot for rioting. No. Shooting them won't learn them anything. Arrest the fucks with proper charges and send them to jail and put them in deprogramming as one of the conditions of their release. I'm against killing our own citizens left or right when they pull this shit. It doesn't solve anything and generally makes the situation even worse.

I’m sure we can all agree that Trumpty’s brownshirts who are storming the Capitol should all be shot for rioting. Come on, you know the rules. It's only after either several months of "mostly peaceful protesting" or after they fire up a federal building or two do the rubber bullets and spice gas come out. We don't waste those on just any large group of dissatisfied voters...

Trump never learned the first rule of being a tin-pot dictator. Don't shit in your capitol city.

Trump never learned the first rule of being a tin-pot dictator. Don't shit in your capitol city. No, the first rule is to require personal loyalty of the military. Shitting on McCain... wasn't how you do that.

Insulting Gold Star families wasn't exactly a bright idea either. At every opportunity, Cadet Bone-Spurs shat on the military. Hell, what do expect from a 5 time draft dodger who thinks that avoiding STD's was his own Vietnam?
Fuck Trump.

I’m sure we can all agree that Trumpty’s brownshirts who are storming the Capitol should all be shot for rioting. No. They might need some prison time and some rehabilitation, though.
Twitter has already started to allow rehabilitation even without prison, by blocking Trump for now. It's kinda like arresting a major drug dealer and his distribution network, so just a small step, and if you overdo it and focus on the wrong things, you'll get the (false) information equivalent of the War on Drugs. But at least it's something.

It's been long overdue in my opinion. Take away his oxygen, don't give him a platform for his stupidity and bile and his fleeting power fades.

When he's inciting violence? If he's actually inciting violence we have laws for that. Impeachment was mentioned. I'm always going to be strongly against Big SocMed controlling who in our politics is allowed to speech on the public forum.

And when the majority of their users want something to happen, they will do it. Or if the speaker violates the terms of service, it shouldn't actually matter that the person is a politician.

The difference is that he was using it as an official account - so even if they can him, they can't delete his account because of document preservation requirements. As to the wisdom of using a personal account as an official account...

Well, Twitter banned Trump finally. Fuckers should have done it four years ago.

They're private companies, they can do what they want. I doubt you'd be saying this if they were rightwing companies curtailing and banning Lefty politicians and Lefty political speakers... How fast would your opinion change if Jack Dorsey passes away in 2021 and Roger Ailes manages to acquire Twitter? After you got done shitting all the bricks ever, how long would your "but they're a private company, they can ban who they like" hold up? As for being a private company? Fine, revoke article 230 protects, let them curate to their hearts content, but bear the responsibility for that curation. Regardless of what Trump does after this, a movement to take government out of the hands of the political class was unleashed and it isn't going away. This is true. And Biden's proposal of Patriot Act 2.0 will not cool any heads. Yep - the capitol police turned down offers of the national guard 3 times to avoid the optics of troops being there. I'm not sure if it was optics or a tinfoil theory I have. It's awfully suspicious how small a force they initially deployed (but had the full force waiting to deploy once any violence kicked off inside) knowing an insurrection was planed, merchandised, and going to be televised... /deep state senses tingling At least 2 who were caught on film. Lectern Guy is officially registered as "Unaffiliated", but he's been at multiple ACAB riots on the counter-protest side of the line, waving and smiling at the camera. I suspect he's he's a "shit's going down, I'ma be there bro!" actually peaceful protester. But that's just like, my opinion man He did. Can it be proven? That's left to the courts to prove he knew his words would spark imminent unlawful action. If I were the GODKING of the Universe? He'd be dick punched over it, but I'm not in charge. But he did post it, so it's on the Historic Record. Big SocMed can't censor that (yet). So the Florida man who stole the lectern wasn't a Trump supporter? He didn't vote in the Republican primaries (or the Dem primaries, because he's Unaffiliated). No one has found evidence he's posted anything supporting Trump. He's 'Florida Man' at his best, an uncontrolled chaotic force to be survived and appreciated, but not understood. He's posted for a few years at least in Q friendly areas, he's at least a 'follower' of Q, whether he's a believer or was just in it for the LOLs? No idea. But for his "anger"? Post friendly Q things long enough, show up at protests with a sign saying "Q Sent Me", you might as well be be a Q cultist.
