Chrome on MacOS crashes when you try to download a file anywhere other than the default Downloads folder. Probably has something to do with attempting to open the Finder. ("File Explorer" for you Windoze types.) It's affecting everyone at my place of work. Super annoying. We've had to resort to lesser browsers for our [-]DriveThruRPG PDF downloads[/-] super important work downloads.

Any sufficiently advanced game is indistinguishable from a Turing machine?

Why do smart phones comes loaded with a bunch of fucking garbage apps? What the unliving fuck is that about?
Now, because I made the mistake of getting a smartphone, I have to spend the next three forevers figuring out what these fucking apps do and how to remove them.

I notice that you continuously say smartphone instead of specifying android or iPhone or even Samsung. Android. Google shoved a crapload of garbage apps onto it the moment I turned it on and it connected to the network. Now I'm going through and figuring out what they do so I can safely dump the shitty ones.

And despite my griping almost a month ago, I've done exactly squat to track down which apps are unnecessary and can be safely erased. I did put Adventure Time Card Wars on it... which is mostly what it has been used for. /shrug I don't use phones very much and I hate texting.

Much of the bloatware on Android phones is placed by both the manufacturer and mobile provider. I believe your specific phone runs Android 8.1 Go, a stripped down version of Android OS designed for entry-level [very low RAM and storage] smartphones. Any additional software installed by manufacturer/mobile provider may be making an already poor experience even worse.
Unfortunately, even higher-level tiers of smartphones can still suffer performance issues due to 3rd-party bloatware. It is frustrating when you lay down several hundred dollars on a Verizon phone just to deal with their bloatware.
Nexus/Pixel Phones haven't had as much bloatware as phones sold by a mobile provider and they seem to be patched more frequently with a longer software update service life when compared to phones sold by mobile providers. Sadly, the pricing of said phones can become outrageous.

The things you can't uninstall are either system and maybe manufacturer/carrier crapware, and even then some of that you can disable.
Just go to the applications page and uninstall everything you don't use.

Lol. Google the apps, see what they do and delete them or just delete them.
On a sneaky note, I figured out how to get rid of the fucking ads on smart phone app games and such. After you download your widget, simply go to Wi-Fi, turn it off, then turn off mobile data.
You might get a few in the beginning before play, but after, no fucking ads!
Just remember to turn both back on when you're done playing.
Bonus points: The thrill of sticking it to the fucking ad perveyors! WOOGA!!!
