In real-time, without hoping you eventually respond, maybe, if you feel like it and it doesn't inconvenience you too much. When you post on a board like this, or Reddit... it's a whole <i>thing</i> that you have to commit to the ether, hoping that you're not wasting someone's time with your post.... where on a chat (discord, for you kids) board, you can just... you know... TALK. |

Really, its a 'I post before work and then 12 hours alter the thread has moved 50,000 posts past when I last posted' and I have no desire to try to get back into the conversation, let alone scroll up that far to see what the responses were. |

Ahh, I see... I'm very selective of what Discord servers I add, since I'm somewhat of a recluse myself.. just Sinfest, Formula Fusion and Romantically Apocalyptic for me.
So no chance of overload, since the circle of people I trust is very, very small. Even online.

I've not used Discord. I like message boards, as I may have a thought or a question, but don't have time to hang around for a reply. These let me come back whenever I remember and resume.
