Well, I took my cat to the vet today for her yearly checkup. She's 13 years old and could loose some weight. So I'm going to put her on a diet. Other than that, she's fine. In fact, she was a near perfect angel during the visit. She only offered a little resistance when they shaved her behind and took her temperature, but nothing that a bit of head skritching and ear rubs didn't cure.
I call her my stoner cat. She's that mellow. The vets love her.

She's 13 years old and could loose some weight. Our 8 year old (Lucky) had some kidney problems (she's obese) and we put her on kidney diet food. She isn't taking it well... but she is taking it better than Lugh who really hates the new diet food (I've been sneakin him small amounts of regular cat food everyday because he's almost stopped eating)... Little Guy is nonplussed and FrogErick is perfectly happy with the new diet food (but as a kitten he eats literally everything).

Lyra is on special food for her UTC and loves it. Heck, I have to keep the rest of the animals away (loosing battle there) because it ain't cheap. The upside is a bag lasts a month.
Like I said, she was an angel during the visit. I gave her a good brushing the day before and the vets noticed! She has rabbit soft fur.
Joey is his same old one-eyed self and the Beagles are also the same. Getting into things they shouldn't and otherwise being adorable doing it. It's funny as hell when you catch them red-handed. They think you're gonna kill em and we've never laid a hand on the silly things. Most we do is yell at them and say 'bad dog'. The 'Oh crap' look on their faces are hilarious.

Well the first cold front of the year has truly arrived. It's fifty degrees out there and pouring. Our mostly outside cat Joey spent the night inside because of the rain. This morning, after he had eaten, he danced around and meowed, wanting to be let out. I opened the door. Yup. It was cold and pouring out still. He went out. I fixed my coffee and opened the door. He was huddled up against it with the most wounded expression. "IT'S RAINING AND COLD OUT THERE WOMAN!"
I let him back in of course.
Silly cat.
He really is a creature of habit.
