I don't protest when the left gets arrested because when they're engaged in *mostly* peaceful protesting; they're actually rioting and not being arrested - there is nothing for me to protest when they aren't arrested. I protest when the right gets arrested because not one single one of their activities is in any way shape or form in violation of the law and is *totally* peaceful. |

Apparently resisting arrest, not wearing masks and not socially distancing despite laws and regulations on the book kinda belies that. Well allegedly anyway. Innocent until proven guilty and all. At least nobody shot them or put their weight on their necks during arrest until they die.

Apparently resisting arrest, not wearing masks and not socially distancing despite laws on the book kinda belies that. Well allegedly anyway. Innocent until proven guilty and all. At least nobody shot them or put their weight on their necks during arrest. Masks and social distancing are unconstitutional. Completely in violation of 1st amendment right to peaceably assemble. That's the part leftist shitbags forget - when they start rioting, they no longer are protected under 1st Amendment and deserve to get their teeth kicked in. |

Basically, as long as it applies to everyone, it's not against the law. You can still peaceably assemble as long as you're six feet apart and wearing a mask. Because they weren't and allegedly resisted arrest, they were arrested and charged.
Apparently the cops have a different idea about that and they are certainly not left-leaning.
Yes, but what do you consider rioting? From the way you stomp your feet, any protest led by the left is a riot, regardless of whether or not it is and you also think that people being summarily executed without a trial to be a good thing. So fuck that.

Except that when they arrest worshippers for not social distancing and not wearing masks, but don't arrest rioters for not social distancing and not wearing masks, it most certainly is unconstitutional. Let alone not arresting them for throwing molotov cocktails and shining lasers in people's eyes and harassing diners and otherwise engaging in public assholery. |

If you notice, the engaging in public assholery was in Florida. Public assholery is a state sport there. It's just usually white guys/ladies who do it. So it doesn't get as much attention.
The molotov cocktail throwers and laser light shiner's were arrested once identified. That's assault and arson right there. Nobody in their right minds is for that. I know I'm not.
In Portland, there have been arrests for rioting I have no problem with that:
Also, the cops are not enforcing the face mask rules in Oregon. Different places have different laws about that sort of thing as it's a state mandate, not a federal mandate.
Oregon is it's own little slice of crazy from what I've seen though.

In fact....
Seems like only 21 sates and DC have a mask mandate with fines associated for not wearing them. Also, right wing people are the ones most likely to buck and scream about wearing a mask, so they're the ones more likely to be fined because they're not wearing one.

Honestly though, every state has different rules, so honestly I don't know.
My personal guess is that particular couple got lippy with the police and they decided to make an example out of them. That happens too.
