Except they're not. Making healthy people wear masks whose efficacy outside the clinical setting remain unproven and preventing them from congregating (unless it is to riot) are completely irrational.

We have data showing that COVID is not as dangerous as originally thought. We have data showing as more testing happens, the rates of hospitalization and death keep dropping. We have data showing that antivirals that are effective on SARS because they interrupt pH-dependent replication steps also do so on COVID, which is closely related, as well as several other types of viruses that have pH dependent replication. We have data showing that PCR tests aren't being used correctly, resulting in anywhere from a 70-90% false positive rate in several cases. We have data showing that multiple tests of the same individual have been counted as separate cases. We have data upon data upon data. You just choose to bury your head in the MSM sand and declare it doesn't exist, or it's wrong, or it's old. That last one - that the data is old - just amazed me. Maxwell's equations are over a century old, yet you aren't declaring electricity to not exist...

Sensible precautions are one thing. Swallowing the lie that business have to shutter (and go out of business) purely because Democrats say so during an election*, when the evidence suggests otherwise and their own actions† show the lie, is not rational.


* I know it's to "own the Repubs" and for no other real reason. You can tell by the way the Dems ignore these rules and laws themselves.

† Endorsing the protests and riots, pushing for arrests of outdoor meetings of mask wearing of non-protesters, specifically persecuting religious people, wholesale ignoring the rules they've set down (Pelosi getting her hairstyled, etc).

Most businesses should be able to be open now. The biggest problem is businesses where the space is small or where the customers stay for a long time. Protests outside are mostly not a problem. Outside is generally not a problem. Schools are, because the kids stay in the same place for a long time, which makes transmission more likely.

Now, try finding a report where protesters were arrested for the same 'crime'. And I don't mean those protesting the mask and shutdown ordinances, I mean the "mostly peaceful" protesters. You know which ones...
