Do you remember seeing a credible study that tells us whether masks work for pandemics? Me neither. The difference is you think you did. What that CDC stat shows is that annual deaths are effectively unchanged due to COVID. What will be fun is watching the "experts" scramble trying to explain away deaths caused by lockdowns (suicides, death due to stroke or heart attack complications that were preventable, delayed cancer treatments resulting in preventsble death, etc.) No scrambling is necessary. Only an idiot can fail to see that if you have a new illness that adds 200k deaths(far more than flus), but the total is unchanged, something you did in response worked to keep other deaths down. Three problem with your logic is assuming that all deaths attributed to covid were actually deaths from covid. We know that to but be the case, leaving many excess deaths not caused by covid that need to be explained away - aka covid death harvesting.

I can believe you completely lack critical thinking skills. Let me try a completely non-technical approach. When you wear a mask, where does the majority of your exhalate go? Through a filter that captures it? Or around the sides of the mask, fogging your glasses with vapor and spreading outward in all directions? How often do you change your mask? At least once an hour? Do you do so while wearing protective gloves? Or do you wear the same mask multiple times throughout the day, capturing bacteria and viral particles? And while not wearing gloves so you're spreading whatever is embedded in the mask to you hands and other surfaces. *ALL* of the studies on mask usage over the last 100 years all confirm that mask usage by the untrained, outside the clinical setting, are ineffective at best and dangerous at worst. This is what you dough-headed leftists refer to as "...the science is settled..." But hey, don't take my word for it. Take it from the same authorities who claimed that gaiters were ok, then they weren't, and now they are again. Face facts - the "experts" are making this up as they go along instead of relying on science. As to your ill-informed assertion that dying with covid=dying from covid, go ahead and explain how the count includes car crashes, suicides, and drug overdoses. Go ahead - I'll wait...

Wear the damned mask and practice social distancing. It's better than no protection at all against aerosols. The harder you make for aerosols to get into your body, the better your chances are against contracting Covid-19.
Same thing for handwashing and basic sanitation. That helps reduce the virus's chance to getting into you.
It's not rocket science. Sure, it's not a 100% preventative, but it's all we got right now. Face reality, instead of the garbage thinking Trump spouts.
Because, right now, you are making zero sense and are being a fucking idiot.
Your excuses are not working. I bet you're an anti-vaxxer and a Flat-Earther too.

No. I just assume reality, and the reality is that the vast majority are from covid. Take 10 or 20% and call them fake if you want. It changes nothing about what I'm saying.

No, clearly the only logical conclusion is that the Corona virus makes us healthier!

3cat has sunk deep into the morass of magical Trump thinking. Where Covid-19 is going away soon, a vaccine for Covid-19 will be available momentarily, Covid-19 will magically disappear. Oh, and Covid-19 is a democratic hoax. Where Trump takes no responsibility for Covid-19.
Where Trump does nothing while Americans are dying from Covid-19. Instead, he holds rallies, downplays the threats Covid-19 represents, hawks bogus cures for Covid-19, refuses to wear a mask even when he is contagious and generally acts like he doesn't give a shit about anybody but himself.
Where Trump disparages the military, Gold star families and war vets who have been tortured. Who puts his own Secret Service personal at risk by not wearing a mask while contagious. Profits off the government by spending time in his own properties and billing the taxpayers for the privilege of protecting his slimy ass. Where foreign interests curry favor by spending money at his properties.
Where the economy is doing great (it's not), the wall will be built with Mexico's money, "leftist cities" will burn with the divine fires of the right, the south will rise again, white supremacists are very fine people. BLM and Antifa are the new American threat. Russia is our friend. Biden is sleepy, senile and alternatively on performance enhancing drugs. Where Trump is a stable genius, deals in alternative facts, we all remember and mourn the victims of the Bowling Green Massacre. How Trump can magically alter a hurricane's path with a sharpie pen and wipe up Puerto Rico's devastation with Bounty. Where he thinks he has "very good" genes. Where Hillary is going to jail for her emails, where Obamagate is the biggest scandal ever (it doesn't exist). Where Trump ran and tear-gassed little old lady priests off their own church for a stupid photo op, just to appear tough.
Where voting fraud is rampant, especially if Trump looses, where mail in ballots are bad (when he uses them himself) and generally does his best to suppress the votes, intimidate voters and reduce the ability for the vulnerable to vote. Where Trump uses his power to tank the ability of the Postal service to deliver mail, so the ballots won't arrive on time or will get lost in the shuffle. Where he refuses to peacefully hand over power to the winner if he looses. Where whenever he speaks, he lies.
Yeah. Then 3cat wonders why we don't believe Trump is the greatest....

Yeah. Then 3cat wonders why we don't believe Trump is the greatest.... I never said Trump is the greatest. He just happens to not be an entrenched washington insider. Despite his shortcomings, he's far better than anyone the Dems have offered up. As to covid. It isn't a mystery how it spreads since it is like any other coronavirus. The IFR is vastly overstated due to improper and/or inadequate reporting of actual infections. 1. rt-PCR is not a diagnostic tool, but it is being used for that purpose anyway; and the CT thresholds for "positive" cases aren't consistent. 2. The false positive rates for rapid tests are 60%+. 3. Reporting methodology guidance from the CDC was changed mid-stream. We should be reporting lab-confirmed cases with symptoms as a distinct sub-set of lab-confirmed cases. 4. Reporting is inconsistent - we get data dumps with "new" cases that actually occurred months ago. 5. We are continuing to see rises in "cases" without an equivalent rise in hospitalizations or deaths. 6. The media consistently cherry-picks outliers with fatal outcomes. What happened to all of those professional sports teams that had cases? Why aren't the hospitals in university towns overflowing with dead and dying when the number of students infected are allegedly in the thousands?

Considering how he's fucked up every single crisis that's come down the pipeline, I'll take a competent Washington insider vs. an incompetent outsider any day of the week.
Considering that he's president of the United States and has the Republican party firmly in his wallet, calling him an outsider at this point is silly.
In any case, he has proven he's woefully, utterly and completely unfit for office.

My biggest issue with Trump is that my 6 year old is more mature and throws fewer tantrums. I don't want a 6 year old as President no matter how good he is in other areas.

That too.
My biggest problem with Trump is he can't handle crisis situations at all and he doesn't know how to delegate . His best and brightest are incompetent lick-spittle yes-men. He also can't negotiate worth a damn.
Trump's "shortcomings" has cost American people their lives, their jobs, their homes, their peace of mind. His 'shortcomings' has turned our country into a laughinstock of the world. His 'shortcomings' have divided America, made it less safe and emboldened white supremacy.
So tell me again, why we should believe Trump over scientists who actually know what they're doing? Because all 3cat is doing is vomiting up Trump talking points and trying to disguise it (poorly). That's all this entire argument is. This is 3cat licking up Trump's bullshit and expecting us to do the same.
So yeah. 3cat, nobody is fooled.

Um.... That's not in English. So.... No? But it looks like a joke of some sort, from the comments at least. I only speak English so I'm no judge.
Depends on context. Since I don't get the context (don't speak the language) on this, I can't say yay or nay on the subject. In general, people are free to express themselves as long as they don't hurt anybody. Calling for their deaths is just stupid and evil. Just be warned, if you're being stupid, racist or evil, expect to be called on it.
3cat, you tend to want people dead you don't agree with. That's bullshit.

I couldn't understand most of what was said, but that was fantastic!* *Assuming that was educational like it seemed and not a grossly inappropriate Covid video.
