On a related note, y'all can safely skip Hellboy (2019), it's trash. Inversely, A Company Man [2012], is excellent through and through. I've come to the realization that Korean movies have the ending I really enjoy.

I struggle a bit deciding where to share this... but in the end I decided that in this case kerning is art! So this one's for rel, or Reveal (which ever one is the graphic designer)... Hellvetica

I'm up to episode three of Daybreak and it's damned good. As I've said elsewhere, it's Parker Lewis Can't Lose set to the zombie apocalypse, but better.

Watched The Rover (2014), it's pretty good. A slow burn though.

Goblin Slayer is a pretty crappy* rape and gore porn anime... but this 'abridged' parody is fucking hilarious:
* Read 'crappy' as 'not my cuppa'.

Ok that was hilarious. When you say rape and gore porn, is the emphasis on the porn or the gore?
edit: watched the first episode of the real show. Yeah it's not good. Not much in the way of gore or porn actually. The abridged tho was pretty hilarious.

Ok that was hilarious. When you say rape and gore porn, is the emphasis on the porn or the gore? If I remember correctly there was far, far more gore than rape, but when I say 'gore porn' I mean 'fountains of blood and viscera', you know, standard for anime, but not really my to my taste*. * Goblin Slayer was recommended to me by someone who found out I didn't hate Berserk. Which, is of course, pretty much the standard for 'gore porn'. Don't remember which episode I saw (or if it was the movie) but female warrior was pretty brutally gang raped by gobbos within like 10-15 minutes of it starting. Episode three takes the stupid funny to all new levels.

The background music in the abridged series is 100% from Ranma 1/2. I watched the shit out of that show back in the 90s.

Don't remember which episode I saw (or if it was the movie) but female warrior was pretty brutally gang raped by gobbos within like 10-15 minutes of it starting. This was apparently a controversy? I didn't really blink, tho. I grew up on shit like Ninja Scroll, where one of the main character's "superpower" is that she's so toxic that a giant monster dude dies from raping her. So.... Goblin Slayer's rape scene was pretty tame by comparison. Tho maybe the version I saw was toned down from some original version. It wasn't very graphic.

Ya ain't gonna see me praising Ninja Scroll either... it's really not my cuppa. Ditto the original Hellsing or Hellsing Ultimate, which is straight gore porn, but Hellsing Ultimate Abridged is the funniest shit ever. Must just be when gore porn takes itself seriously that I get turned off.

The Mandalorian is a return to the way Star Wars needs to be made.

Serious Mandalorian talk: Things I liked: IG bounty droid going completely killbot was perfect. His ship is great. I loved the piece of shit speeder on the ice planet. The stronk Lone Wolf and Cub vibe in the last 30 seconds Things I disliked: The Storm Troopers looking dirty rather than worn down with disrepaired armor. The former speaks to a lack of discipline, the latter to a lack of resources. I'd prefer if the Storm Troopers were merely scraping by, rather 'fallen from grace', though they may be aiming for a 'lowest bidder' look in this case. Him having a carbon freezing thing on his ship, not only being so very 'plug and play' but being far more advanced than the one used in Empire Strikes Back. Granted... it may have been supplied by the Bounty Guild.
