Mostly based on perceptions. The way he posts here, he's either a right winger or a deliberate provoker for giggles. If you're right, then he's just posting shit to get the rest us us riled up for entertainment.....
I can actually see that. 
As for the rest, it's just my perceptions. Which are usually in no way related to real life.  It's also not a bad thing to be left or right or center, just to say.

So... for the last decade or two I've been consistently punching the left because they've been in charge and fucking shit up; and the DNC has been on a long slow slid into bullshittery and corruption (so really, I'm punching the DNC, not so much the 'left' though I broadened out and starting throwing internet punches at the extremist progressives 6 years ago as well). Also, I am a communist-pure democracy guy at heart, but I'm also a realist/pragmatist, so I accept humans aren't capable of 'real' communism and thus fall back on promoting the 'second best' approach, regulated capitalism in a republic, as it's managed to consistently lift more people out of poverty and improve the world than any 'communist' state has done or even pretended to aim at, ever (the only thing the socialist states consistently succeed at is to kill and oppress more of their own populations than anyone else, oh and pollute the world). you just consistently promote the dumbest ideas of the DNC and "leftist" talking points so I tend to throw more punches in your direction than at Mistwell, because really, I don't care if the Republicans turn into complete failures (though if the DNC keeps getting worse, I may switch to trying to make the Republicans into a palatable group, it might be easier - the more centrist Repubs are more accepting of centrist positions than the left). |

Not really. The dumbest idea is the medicare for all plan. I'm totally against it. The second dumbest is the green new deal. While they're nice ideas on paper, the cost is just not feasible. Not to mention, the reality is, it'd never get passed in the current political climate. Gun control. I'm all for it. That does not mean, they're coming to take your guns away oh my. But keeping them out of the hands of people who aren't supposed to have them? Yeah I'm for universal background checks. Trump and his administration on the other hand.... I have nothing good to say about those fuckers. Trump is a childish, egotistical fucking idiot and the Republican party has collectively become his eager fluffers. So if that's a dumb talking point to you.... I'm okay with that. |

As for being in charge most of the time in the last 10-20 years, the Republicans have that distinction. The Democratic Party were mostly in charge from the mid 1930s until the mid 1990s (85-25 years ago). Before even that, the Republicans were in control of both houses of Congress and the White House the very large majority of the time.

It's right there but y'all keep missing it: Extreme Cutting of Military Spending. Like to the "Military? What fucking military?" level. The dumb part is doing away with private insurance. Medicare doesn't cover everything, so the additional insurance is great for those who can afford it and need it. This isn't saying that Medicare For All is the best healthcare plan, I'm just saying it isn't the worst thing on the extreme far left. This is the dumbest thing on the left (aside from authoritarian critical progressivism). It isn't even good on paper, it's a just a fucking train wreck. This is the second worst thing from the left. Look at how well it's working for Illinois, California, etc... fucking disaster. And no, your "CNN talking points" are when you literally quote CNN and then try to pretend you got the ideas from somewhere, anywhere, less partisan. CNN and MSNBC are the cancer of the left. Both parties have been engaging in partisan asshattery. What part of "I don't give a rat's ass if the Republicans remain a shithole of a party I want to improve the left" is an impossible hill for you to climb? In this case, I'd like to drag the DNC back into being a liberal party that is concerned about the poors, instead of a shithole oligarchal bastion of millionaire globalist corruption. |

The dumb part is not taking into account the fuckwits in congress. Even if by some miracle he passes the package, there is absolutely no fucking way in hell the republicans are going to let him cut funding to the military and they'll fight tooth and nail for raising taxes on anything. It's also not very popular with the Democrats, so he'll probably have at least a few of them buck him on it.
Congress is and always will be congress. Which means they're fuckwits. He forgets that. |
