So you support elective abortions up to 24 weeks - when the fetus has sufficiently developed lungs to be viable - except in cases of severe fetal abnormality, severe health risks to mother etc., when abortion might be medically recommended or required. No you retard. I support abortions completely up to viability and then after viability only for medically recommended reasons. And you completely misunderstand/misrepresent what your opponents are about. Doesn't make you seem reasonable at all.

Your willful ignorance, your desire to misconstrue, your eagerness to find conflict, and your incapacity to parse subordinate clauses are a marvel to behold. You support elective abortions up to 24 weeks, at which point a fetus becomes viable. Past that time, some kind of medical justification is necessary for you to condone abortion.
Correct me if I'm wrong. The reason that regressive fundie Republicans have enacted "heartbeat" laws is because they have afforded a particular significance to the fact that a regular, predictable electrical tremor - which presages genuine cardiac activity - is detectable on an ultrasound. It therefore, in their tiny minds, acts as a reliable indicator of when life should be considered to have begun. If the liver made a noise like a steam train every four seconds; or the spleen made a regular sound like a fart, no doubt this would be the metric the republitards chose as their measure of "life." Unfortunately, these organs are silent. The heart is a muscle which acts as a locus in the circulatory system. Perhaps you might explain why its activity carries a particular significance, besides religious mumbo-jumbo, and its convenience as a symbol to evoke an emotive response in the ignorant and superstitious?

Your willful ignorance, your desire to misconstrue, your eagerness to find conflict, and your incapacity to parse subordinate clauses are a marvel to behold. If you had properly created a subordinate clause, it would have been understandable. Inability to be understood lies with the speaker. Very good, you are able to construct sentences in a logical format. See that bold part? That doesn't equate to "believes the heart is the seat of the soul". When someone accuses you of acting like kirinke and willfully misrepresenting their opponents in order to belittle them (or in her case because she's regurgitating what her Thought Leaders have claimed) it doesn't make your case stronger. Ahem; because "in their tiny minds a heartbeat equals life". Really, you even basically said that, is it really so hard to understand? Or do you find yourself incapable of not trying to create ridiculous strawmen to knock down, when their actual beliefs and arguments are equally easy to refute? Or do you find "heartbeat=life" Impossible to refute?

1) It is not a "heartbeat." It is an electrical impulse within a valveless, unformed organ which will eventually become the muscle. An actual heartbeat - where chambers pump fluid around a circulatory system - is only detectable much later in pregnancy, when the heart has actually formed.
2) This metric - an ultrasound measuring an electrical impulse - is used as a purposefully emotional and evocative symbol to justify pulling the threshold for when "life" begins as early into pregnancy as possible, and make it functionally impossible for many women to get abortions. The people who write these laws would, of course, prefer to just ban abortion outright, at all stages.
Don't be an idiot. "Life" is an emergent process with no clearly discernible onset. It doesn't "just start" at fertilization, or when a proto-organ displays electrical activity, or when a fetus starts sucking its thumb. Any legislated threshold is arbitrary.
According to the 195 Republicans who voted against the Right to Contraception act, the earlier the better. Because, you know, Christofascist Theocracy.
